take stock exchange and Redbridge Drama Centre present
You, Me the World and Redbridge
Thursday 4th May 8pm
take stock exchange has been working with Redbridge Community groups since 2013 collecting and retelling stories. This year they delivered their largest ever project and are sharing stories with the public for the first time.
After working with just about every different type of community group there is from schools, the homeless, OAPs and refugees, they have heard all sorts of stories – stories from the wise, the naive, the cheeky, the sincere, the angry and the hopeful – stories that are funny, sad, revealing and surprising – but never boring.
Join Redbridge local Nick and Redbridge tourist Olly as they share stories about Redbridge, collected from the people that know it best.
take stock exchange’s work enables people to explore, celebrate and question commonality and differences: the past, present and future of themselves and the places they live and work.
Local theatre maker Nick Cassenbaum’s celebrated solo show Bubble Schmeisis is currently touring throughout the UK and internationally. Nick has made work for the Royal Court, Soho Theatre and Battersea Arts Centre, written plays, performed solo work, made street performances and broadcast podcasts for the Guardian.
Olly Hawes has worked with Arcola, The Bush, Camden People’s Theatre, Fevered Sleep, The National Theatre, The Old Vic, Pentabus, The Pleasance, The Watermill and The Young Vic, and has toured throughout the country. He was a Clore Emerging Cultural Leader 2016.
Nick and Olly formed take stock exchange in 2013 to use the power of storytelling to address the disconnect people feel from the places they live, and the people they live and work with.
