TFL Road Freight Bulletin | Central London Update | Dec 16

Dear Customer,

Tideway is the company building a new ‘super sewer’ alongside the river Thames. www.tideway.london. We have to make space for one of their engineering sites on the Embankment which means that, from Monday 2 January for around four years, there will be road layout changes on the Victoria Embankment slip road between Blackfriars Bridge and Temple Avenue.
Closure details

From Monday 2 January, westbound traffic on the Victoria Embankment slip road will be diverted; signed diversion routes will be in place.

From Monday 2 until Monday 23 January, full closures will be in place to traffic in both directions on the Victoria Embankment slip road as follows:
• From 21:00 until 05:00 each night from Monday 2 until Friday 20 January
• From 05:00 Saturday 21 until 05:00 Monday 23 January
Travel advice

The East West and North South Cycle Superhighways will remain open throughout the works but the layout will change on Monday 23 January. Cyclists will still have segregated two-way cycle lanes however the interchange between the Cycle Superhighways will move to the Victoria Embankment northern slip road.

Roads in the surrounding area will be busier than usual. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey. For full details, including a map of the diversion routes, visit tfl.gov.uk/victoria-embankment
