Starting Out is a free, short course offered by the University of East London and Birkbeck, University of London.
The course develops knowledge and skills to enable adults return to education with confidence.
The Starting Out course runs on five Wednesdays starting on 2 November 2016.

Including pre-entry programmes that enable you to progress to university study & how to apply

10:00–12.00 noon Understanding the fees system
Wed 16 November Study skills
10:00–12.00 noon How to become an effective learner
Wed 23 November Mini lectures
10:00–12.00 noon Taster sessions from a range of UEL and Birkbeck courses
Wed 30 November Mini Lectures
10:00–12.30 pm Taster sessions from a range of UEL and Birkbeck courses
The course will be based at University Square Stratford, 1 Salway Road, E15 1NF
Students are expected to attend all five sessions. Students will also have the opportunity to discuss their plans with an adviser.
