TFL | Road Freight Bulletin, 11-09

Tour of Britain 
The Tour of Britain is taking place on Sunday 13 September. Road closures will be in place in central London from 03:00 until 23:00, in particular in the Whitehall and Westminster areas. Waterloo Bridge will have restricted access for some of the day. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible. For full details, please visit
Until 22:00 on Tuesday 15 September, A406 North Circular is reduced to one lane in both directions between Redbridge Roundabout and Charlie Brown’s Roundabout. This is to allow for continued strengthening works to be carried out on Nightingale Bridge, as part of the Road Modernisation Plan. For more information, please click here

Until mid-October, the Blackfriars Road slip road is closed westbound at the junction of Victoria Embankment. One lane of the Blackfriars underpass is also closed. This is for Cycle Superhighway work. For more information, please click here

Central London 
From 08:00 until 17:30 on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September and also between the same times next weekend, there will be temporary traffic lights on Shaftesbury Avenue at the junction of Wardour Street. This is for utility works.

From 12:00 until 18:00 on Saturday 12 September, there will be various road closures in place including Hyde Park Corner, Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall. This is for a march.

Central London 
From 03:00 until 23:00 on Sunday 13 September, there will be various road closures in place including Regent Street, Haymarket, Trafalgar Square, Strand and Aldwych. Waterloo Bridge will have restricted access. This is for the Tour of Britain event. For more information please click here

From Monday 14 September until early November, there will be southbound lane restrictions on Finchley Road between Frognal Lane and Langland Gardens for utility work.
