As part of our Roads Modernisation Plan, construction works on East-West Cycle Superhighway along Victoria Embankment are affecting some routes used to transport abnormal loads. There is currently no right turn westbound on Victoria Embankment into Temple Place until 10 August 2015. Please plan your journey ahead of time. For further information, please click here
Lower Thames Street is closed eastbound and there are lane restrictions westbound between Fish Hill Street and Great Tower Street. There is restricted access into Water Lane until early August. Victoria Embankment has lane restrictions between Westminster Bridge and Temple Place. There is also restricted access in and out of Horse Guards Avenue. This is due to East-West Cycle Superhighway work. For more details, please click here
Three way temporary signals will be in place from Monday 22 June until September at the junction of A24 High Street and Merton High Street. This is due to local improvement work, on behalf of the London Borough of Merton.
Four-way temporary traffic signals will be in place on Hospital Bridge Road, at the junctions of Percy Road and Powder Mill Lane until early August. This is for junction improvement work on behalf of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
Central London and Greenwich
On Saturday 20 June, there will be delays from 15:00 until 16:30 on various roads, including A2 Old Kent Road, Vauxhall Bridge Road, and Hyde Park Corner. On Sunday 21 June, there will be delays from 10:00 on various roads in the Greenwich area, and also on Tower Bridge, Westminster Bridge, Whitehall and The Mall. These are due to ceremonial events.
From 12:00 on Saturday 20 June until 18:00 on Sunday 21 June, road closures will be in place in the City of London. In addition, Farringdon Street, Strand, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall will be closed. This is due to a demonstration.
