Here is your weekly commercial drivers travel update, which sets out changes and events that could affect your planned operations.  
 
 
  Advance Warning: Hammersmith Bridge
Hammersmith Bridge will be closed from 17:00 on Saturday 21 October until 05:00 on Sunday 29 October for essential maintenance work.

South East London
Until mid-January, Lewisham High Street and Rushey Green between Mount Pleasant Road and Wildfell Road, will have various lane restrictions / closures in place overnight from 19:00 until 05:00.

Central London
Until 4 November, between 21:00 and 05:00 Monday to Friday, the westbound off-slip on Marylebone Road, at the junction of Marylebone Flyover will be closed. This is for crane work.

Wembley
From 12:00 until 19:00 on Saturday 14 October, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to an event.

Central London
From 14:00 until 15:30 on Saturday 14 October, there will be short traffic holds on the following roads: Ambrosden Avenue, Francis Street, Vauxhall Bridge Road, Neathouse Place, Bridge Place, Belgrave Road, Eccleston Street, Belgrave Place, Belgrave Square, Chesham Place, Pont Street, Sloane Street, Brompton Road and into Brompton Oratory. This is due to a march.

Central London
From 05:00 until 23:00 on Sunday 15 October, Pall Mall East will be closed. There may also be lane closures on the east side of Trafalgar Square. This is due to an event.

Central London
From 16:00 until 20:30 on Tuesday 17 October, there will be road closures and short traffic holds on the following roads: South side of Parliament Square, Richmond Terrace, Parliament Square via Whitehall, Parliament Square, Broad Sanctuary, Great Peter Street and Millbank. This is for a march.

Tunnel closures

The following tunnels will be closed for maintenance works over the next week:
  Limehouse Link Tunnel closed from 22:00 Thursday 12 October to 05:00 Friday 13 October
  A406 Fore Street Tunnel (Park Royal) closed from 22:00 Thursday 12 to 05:00 Friday 13 October
  A12 Green Man Tunnel eastbound closed from 22:00 Friday 13 to 05:00 Saturday 14 October
  A12 George Green Tunnel eastbound closed from 22:00 Friday 13 to 05:00 Saturday 14 October
  A13/A200 Rotherhithe Tunnel closed from 22:00 Monday 16 to 05:00 Tuesday 17 October
 

Hanger Lane gyratory (W5 /NW10)
Until 05:00 1 November, Hanger Lane (North Circular Road) gyratory and its approaches will have overnight restrictions (22:00-05:00) in place Monday to Fridays, excluding 26 and 27 October. This is to facilitate maintenance works.

 
Temporary changes planned for the next two weeks:
  Lane Closures on Hanger Lane gyratory and approaches and A4005 Hanger Lane exit closed on the nights of Thursday 12 and Friday 13 October
  Lane Closures on Hanger Lane gyratory and approaches for 5 nights between Monday 16 to Saturday 21 October
  Lane Closures on Hanger Lane gyratory and approaches for 3 nights between Monday 23 to Thursday 26 October
 

Advance warning: Closure of A1 Holloway Road – December 2017/January 2018
We are planning to demolish and replace the main section of bridge over the Christmas and New Year period 2017/2018.

A 20-day closure will be needed on the A1 Holloway Road from mid-December to early-January 2018 to carry out this work. This length of closure is necessary to enable us to carry out the complex task of replacing the bridge which is part of the live railway network below ground.

Cycle Superhighway 9
We’re consulting on proposals for Cycle Superhighway 9 which goes from Kensington Olympia to Brentford town centre. The consultation closes on 31 October and details can be found here

Cycle Superhighway 4
We’re consulting on proposals for Cycle Superhighway 4 which goes from Tower Bridge to Greenwich. The consultation closes on 19 November and further details can be found here

Here is your weekly commercial drivers travel update, which sets out changes and events that could affect your planned operations.

South West London
From 23:59 on Friday 29 September, until 23:59 on Sunday 1 October, South Lambeth Road between Miles Street and Parry Street will be closed. This is for crane work.

Central London
From 04:00 until 23:59 on Saturday 30 September, Regent Street will be closed southbound from Mortimer Street to Oxford Circus and both directions between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus. The following roads will also be closed: New Burlington Street (00:01 until 23:59) and Great Marlborough Street (02:00 until 23:59). This is for an event.

Wembley
From 11:30 until 19:30 on Sunday 1 October, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to an event.

Central London
From 14:30 until 17:30 on Sunday 1 October, there will be short traffic holds and road closures on the following roads: North Carriage Drive, Bayswater Road, Trafalgar Square via Oxford Street eastbound, Regent Street southbound, Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket, Cockspur Street, and Whitehall southbound. This is due to a march.

Central London
From 11:00 until 14:00 on Monday 2 October, Millbank between Parliament Square and Horseferry Road will have temporary closures in both directions. This is for a ceremonial event.

Tunnel closures
The following tunnels will be closed for maintenance works over the next week:
• A40 Hanger Lane Tunnel (Park Royal) westbound closed from 22:00 Thursday 28 to 05:00 Friday 29 September
• A40 Hanger Lane Tunnel (Park Royal) eastbound closed from 22:00 Friday 29 to 05:00 Saturday 30 September
• A13/A200 Rotherhithe Tunnel closed from 22:00 Monday 2 to 05:00 Tuesday 3 October
• A406 Fore Street Tunnel (Park Royal) closed from 22:00 Thursday 5 to 05:00 Friday 6 October

• No access to the Hanger Lane gyratory from the eastbound A40 Western Avenue (coming from Oxford and Uxbridge) and lane closures on the gyratory on the nights for Friday 6 and Monday 9 October
• No access to the Hanger Lane gyratory from the eastbound A40 Western Avenue (coming from Oxford and Uxbridge), lane closures on the gyratory and A4005 Hanger Lane exit closed on the nights for Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 October
• Lane Closures on Hanger Lane gyratory and approaches and A4005 Hanger Lane exit closed on the nights of Thursday 12 and Friday 13 October
Advance warning: Hammersmith flyover westbound closures
There will be a full overnight closure (23:59-05:00) of the westbound Hammersmith flyover on the nights of Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 October, Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 November, and Tuesday 5 and 6 December. One eastbound lane will also be closed during these times. This is due to essential maintenance roadworks.

TFL | Road Freight Bulletin, July 13th 2017

Here is your weekly commercial drivers travel update, which sets out changes and events that could affect your planned operations.

 

Brent A406/A404 Harrow Road
On Thursday 13 and Friday 14 July and from Monday 17 to Wednesday 19 July, we are carrying out resurfacing works between the junctions with the A404 Harrow Road and B4557 Drury Way. From 22:00 each night until 05:00 the following morning, there will be no access to the eastbound North Circular Road from Harrow Road. There will also be southbound lane restrictions on Harrow Road and eastbound lane restrictions on the North Circular Road.

Brent Cross, A406/A41
From 22:00 until 05:00 each night until Wednesday 23 August, structural surveys are being carried out on the A41 Brent Cross Flyover at the junction with the A406. There are lane closures, restrictions and a temporary overnight closure of the flyover with diversion routes in place.
• Until Thursday 20 July: two lanes will be closed on the A406 southbound, with one lane remaining open
• Monday 31 July to Wednesday 9 August: A41 eastbound carriageway will be closed between the north-west and north-east slip road.
Tunnel closures
The following tunnels will be closed for maintenance works over the next week:
• A406 Fore Street Tunnel: From 22:00 tonight, Thursday 13 July, until 05:00 Friday 14 July
• A12 Green Man Tunnel eastbound: From 22:00 Friday 14 to 05:00 Saturday 15 July
• A12 George Green Tunnel eastbound: From 22:00 Friday 14 to 05:00 Saturday 15 July
• A102 Blackwall Tunnel southbound: From 01:00 until 08:00 on Sunday 16 July and at the same times on the Sunday mornings of 6 and 20 August
• A2 Eltham Tunnel Kent-bound: from 22:00 Sunday 16 to 05:00 Monday 17 July
• A13/A200 Rotherhithe Tunnel: From 22:00 Monday 17 to 05:00 Tuesday 18 July
• A13 East India Dock Tunnel: From 22:00 Monday 17 to 05:00 Tuesday 18 July
• Limehouse Link Tunnel: Closed from 22:00 until 05:00 the following morning on the nights of Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 July
Stratford
From tomorrow, Friday 14 July until Sunday 23 July, the World ParaAthletics Championships are taking place at the London Stadium, Stratford. There may be delays to traffic and local road closures. For more information, please visit tfl.gov.uk/world-athletics

East London
From 21:00 to 23:59 on Friday 14 and Saturday 15, and 20:00 to 23:59 on Sunday 16 July, Grove Road will be closed between Gore Road and Roman Road, and Old Ford Road closed between Mace Street and St Stephen’s Road. This is due to an event.

City of London
From 06:00 until midday on Saturday 15 July, there will be westbound lane restrictions on Lower Thames Street between Harp Lane and Pudding Lane. This is for utility works.

Central London
From 08:00 until midday on Saturday 15 July, Whitehall will be closed in both directions between Parliament Square and Trafalgar Square. This is for a ceremonial event.

Clerkenwell
From 15:30 until 18:00 on Saturday 15 July, there will be road closures on Clerkenwell Road, Rosebery Avenue and Farringdon Road. Local roads in the vicinity will also be closed from 06:00. This is for a procession.

Central London
From 08:00 until 16:00 on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July, and during the same times each weekend until Sunday 6 August, there will be westbound lane restrictions on High Holborn at the junction of Endell Street. This is for a crane operation.

Central London
From midday until 16:00 on Sunday 16 July, there will be delays to traffic and road closures on Whitehall, Whitehall Place and Parliament Square. This is for a demonstration.

Central London
From 07:00 until 19:00 on Sunday 16 and Sunday 23 July, Regent Street will be closed in both directions, between Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street, and southbound between Mortimer Street and Oxford Street. New Burlington Street will also be closed between 05:00 and 21:00. This is for events.

City of London
We will be carrying out overnight surveys around A201 Farringdon Road/Farringdon Street and some road closures will be required from 22:00 until 05:00 the next day:
• Sunday 16 July – A201 southbound closed between Charterhouse Street and Stonecutter Street
• Monday 17 July – A201 closed in both directions between Charterhouse Street and Clerkenwell Road
• Thursday 20 July – No left turn from Clerkenwell Road into the A201 northbound
• Sunday 23 July – A201 southbound closed between Clerkenwell Road and Charterhouse Street
A4 West Cromwell Road
There will be westbound lane one restrictions between Earls Court Road and Templeton Place from 01:00 on Monday 17 July until midnight on Saturday 29 July. Lane two may also have restrictions in place from 22:00 until 05:00 on some nights during this period. This is for roadworks.

Chelsea Embankment
From 22:00 on Friday 21 until around 14:00 on Monday 24 July, there will be a full westbound closure from the junction of Chelsea Bridge to the junction of Battersea Bridge. This is for collaborative preparatory and utility works.

London Triathlon
The London Triathlon takes place in and around east London on Saturday 22 July and on closed roads around central London on Sunday 23 July. For more information, please click here
