The Council is looking at reviewing the way it works with partners to promote community cohesion and integration within the borough. We have commissioned an expert in the field, Ted Cantle from the Institute of Community Cohesion (iCoCo), to look at our approach and practice in a number of different areas. As part of this, we want to have discussion about employment issues relevant to the Council and local employer organisations. Please do come along to be part of the conversation.
The session will take place on Wednesday 11 July 2018 from 8:30-10:00am at Room 701, Lynton House (255-259 High Road, Ilford IG1 1NN).
We want to discuss:
- Local labour market
- Employment segregation/integration
- Achieving diversity and equality in the workplace
- Patterns of integration and segregation
- Employer role in cohesion
